DrunkTrader Staff Heads North For Yahoo Meeting

Ginger and I are currently at LAX preparing to disembark on a journey to attend the Yahoo shareholder meeting in Santa Clara on Friday.  Ginger has been drinking Manhattans in the President's Club and has taken to incessantly babbling about how excited she is to "see Jerry Yang up close".  I think she may have him confused with Jimmy Choo.

I am hoping the proceedings rap up early so I can take a ride through the campus of Santa Clara University where the great Dan Pastorini began his illustrious career.

Word on the street is that former DrunkTrader.com intern Isis is returning to California this weekend and will return the missing equipment containing the precious Liz Claman media.  I hope this comes to fruition but I am highly skeptical of everything at this juncture.  Isis has been a ne'er-do-well as of late.

The good news is that the Liz Claman project has now been handed over to DrunkTrader staff member Vincent who has assured me that a very special tribute to Ms. Claman will be forthcoming.  This project should have been in the hands of a testosterone fueled homo sapien from the get-go.

Update On The Isis & Liz Claman Drama

Former DrunkTrader.com intern Isis is still AWOL.  However, her boyfriend did contact my assistant Ginger this afternoon to inform us that she is alive and well and currently in Chicago.  Evidently she had a fight with her boyfriend and spontaneously decided to drive several thousand miles until she was home in the Windy City.  While it is absolutely spectacular that she is safe and sound my primary concern remains with the whereabouts of my computer equipment containing the Liz Claman media.  That question remains unanswered.

Hopefully this situation will soon be resolved and we can find a new intern who is not as volatile as the markets in which we trade.

DrunkTrader Intern AWOL With Liz Claman Media

It seems the drama never stops at the DTHQ. 

The Liz Claman galleries and videos honoring her achievement as Q3 biz babe were supposed to be online by "Thursday at the latest".  Last night I returned home from a sojourn to Del Mar and discovered that the material was not posted.

Drunktrader intern Isis was given the DVR hard drives on Wednesday and instructed to chop up some good Liz Claman clips and screenshots.  It now appears she has absconded with the hard drives and her notebook computer (both of which are DrunkTrader property).

When I hired Isis in May I thought she was a real diamond ready to shine.  She is an Irish girl from Chicago with an Egyptian name.  She is studying finance at UCLA and shares my disdain for the progressive income tax.  During our initial interview she drank Glenlivet18.  This course of action immediately vaulted her past the previous candidate who had the unmitigated gall to order an Appletini.

Now it appears the bloom is off the rose.  She didn't show up at the DT offices yesterday and she is in unlawful possession of thousands of dollars of high end electronics.

Isis......if you read this I suggest you pick up your phone and contact Ginger or myself.

If I do not hear from you by noon I am going to drop the top on the Biarritz and take a nice summertime drive down to Santa Monica to pay you a visit.

To all the loyal DT readers and Liz Claman fans I apologize for the chaos and buffoonery.  This situation will be resolved as soon as possible.

In an incredibly hard fought battle Liz Claman has topped Tracy Byrnes with 2894 votes vs 2852 for Ms. Byrnes.

After much deliberation it has been determined that the winner of the DrunkTrader.com Q3 Biz Babe crown will be decided via a playoff vote.

Voting will end at the close of trading on Tuesday July 22.

Biz Babe Voting Marred By Controversy

The results of the Q3 DrunkTrader Biz Babe polling have been delayed due to a some voting irregularities. 

Simply put, a group of hardcore fans of Tracy Byrnes submitted thousands of last minute votes in order to vault their candidate past Liz Claman. 

These developments make it difficult to crown a winner since there was not a preset policy prohibiting such behavior.

The DrunkTrader.com staff will be conducting an emergency "all hands" meeting this afternoon at The Portofino Inn in Redondo Beach. 

We hope to reach an equitable resolution to this issue and apologize for the delay in announcing the winner.  Please stay tuned for more details.

Liz Claman Holding Slight Lead Over Erin Burnett

With one week left to vote for the DrunkTrader Biz Babe of Q3 Liz Claman is holding a slight lead over Erin Burnett, 37% versus 34%.  Rebecca Gomez is currently in third place with 14% and the rest of the field is scoring in the single digits.

Time is running out so stop with the procrastination and vote for your favorite babe.  The winner will be announced next Monday.
